Lui, a 19-year-old college student in Taiwan, hung himself after getting ripped off in a pyramid scheme.<br /><br />Lui got involved in the shady business deal, then dropped out of the college this year. After recruiting 20 friends to participate in the plan and charging them about $170 US dollars each, he gave the money to a man called Huang who was above him in the scheme. Huang ran off with the money, leaving both Lui and his friends without any hope of seeing their investment returned. <br /><br />Lui's so-called friends then sued him for fraud, which left him overwhelmed with stress and close to an emotional breakdown. Lui inhaled a bottle of nitrogen, then hung himself on the roof of a building near his home.
