The idea is to provide listeners a hands-free experience without cables or dongles around their necks.

Split is equipped with a high precision crystal clock in each earbud, when music plays, it acts like two individual players that are synchronized in unison without being physically connected or exchanging a continuous stream of radio waves.

The company claims that the radiation is significantly reduced as compared to a Bluetooth streaming headset. Only short radio signals are required when the track or volume is changed to keep the earphones synchronized.

Not having any buttons or microphone for voice command, music playback control of Split is managed by using its 3-axis accelerometers that detect the movements of jaw when you bite. One bite allows users to skip tracks, a double bite cycles through the volume settings, and users can lock the earphones by tapping them with fingers.

Split is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to bring the completely wireless gadget to market.

--------------------------------------------------------

TomoNews is your daily source for top animated news.
