ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />A gas pipeline explosion and fire killed three people and injured at least 10 others, including children, in a small village in western Poland, local media reported on Thursday.<br/> <br />The explosion happened at around midday and fire immediately engulfed several households and part of a forest, polish media report. Hundreds of residents have been evacuated.<br/> <br />Local police and fire services could not immediately verify the number of dead but told Reuters that 10 people had been transported to a hospital with various injuries and firemen are currently searching the affected area for potentially more casualties. Polish media report 3 people have died.<br/> <br />Poland's gas network operator, Gaz-System, said in a statement that its services are currently fixing the damage and that it does not foresee interruptions of gas supplies.
