French police in Paris were on alert Monday after a double shooting they say was carried out by the same gunman.<br /> <br />Police say an unknown assailant fired several rounds from a hunting gun inside the offices of the left-wing French newspaper, Liberation.<br /> <br />The paper's deputy director said the gunman seriously injured a photographer's assistant before fleeing.<br /> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (French) DEPUTY-DIRECTOR OF LIBERATION NEWSPAPER, FRANCOIS SERGENT, SAYING:<br /> <br />"We're thinking about him, he comes to work for the newspaper.
