Oregon Governors' Gold Award Tribute of Mark Ganz, CEO of Cambia Health Solutions

The Governors' Gold Awards are presented annually by Oregon's four living governors, Governor John Kitzhaber, Governor Ted Kulongoski, Governor Barbara Roberts and Governor Vic Atiyeh. The Governors' Gold Awards ceremony benefits Special Olympics Oregon, serving Special Olympics athletes statewide since 1972. <br /> <br />The 2013 Governors' Gold Awards were presented to Cambia Health Solutions CEO, Mark Ganz; Esco Corporation CEO, Bob Moore; Arlene Schnitzer; Dutch Bros. Coffee; Margaret Carter; and Bill Schonely. <br /> <br />Mark Ganz, president and CEO of Cambia Health Solutions, was honored with a 2013 Governors' Gold Award for his lifetime contributions to advancing health care transparency and affordability, while improving Oregonians' access to quality care. In receiving the award, Ganz challenged Oregonians to continue leading the way as collaborative health care innovators. <br /> <br />"We are all leaders and change agents. I challenge all of us to imagine a new paradigm that focuses on people and puts the health back in health care," said Ganz. "I challenge us to listen to diverse perspectives and to experiment with new ways of doing things, to develop innovative partnerships that deliver meaningful results, and to serve as catalysts to encourage others to join us along the way." <br /> <br />Ganz's passion for transforming the way people experience health care is the cornerstone of his vision for Cambia. Since taking the top post in 2003, he has guided the company's leadership and long-range strategic planning efforts along a path of re-imagining and reshaping the health care system. For the past 10 years, Mark has led Cambia's charge to make health care more affordable, person-focused, and economically sustainable.
