Unidentified gunmen then opened fire at them.<br /><br />Thai authorities did not release exact information about casualties sustained in what they are calling a terrorist attack. <br /><br />The bomb was reported as containing 20 kilograms of explosives and was hidden near a bridge. It was detonated remotely. <br /><br />The injured soldiers were members of a No. 25 Pattani special task force. <br /><br />Muslim separatists in southern Thailand have been linked to a slew of roadside bombing and attacks against government forces in Southern and Eastern parts of Thailand.
