Strong winds in a community near Winnipeg created a 30-foot ice wave that surged off of Lake Dauphin and crashed into dozens of homes, destroying 12 and damaging 15.<br /><br />Homeowners said they heard the wall of ice coming before it crashed into their houses. The entire event took place in a matter of minutes but, thankfully, no one was injured.
