He's the face behind one of the America's most provocative magazines.<br/> <br />Larry Flynt, the publisher of Hustler, is now making headlines for a different reason.<br/> <br />He wants to stop the execution of the man who almost took his life.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: LARRY FLYNT, PUBLISHER AND PRESIDENT OF FLYNT PUBLICATIONS, SAYING:<br/> <br />You put a man in a 3X6 cell for the rest of his life, that's a lot of punishment, but if you snuff out his life with a lethal injection in a few seconds, his punishment is over."<br/> <br />Joseph Paul Franklin tried to kill Flynt in a shooting in 1978.<br/> <br />He says he was upset over a bi-racial photo spread in Hustler magazine.<br/> <br />Flynt survived, but would spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.<br/> <br />Now, his would-be killer is set to die by lethal injection from a new drug. In his appeal, Flynt says he's againt the secrecy behind it.<br/> <br />Franklin is on death row in Missouri for killing eight people in racially motivated attacks in the 70s and 80s.<br/> <br />S
