Rapper George Watsky was performing during Warped Tour in London on Sunday when he climbed the lighting rig and flung himself into the crowd 35 feet below.

A video of what is possibly the worst stage dive ever circulated the Internet since. It shows the 27-year-old American singer launching himself onto thousands of screaming fans inside Alexander Palace, after he quickly shimmied up a chain ladder, and then the light rigging. What is not shown are the man and woman who broke the flying rapper's fall.

The woman who found herself under the Watsky broke her arm and the man injured his back. All three victims were stretchered out and taken to a hospital, and Watsky escaped with but a few scuffs.

Watsky confirmed that he was not under the influence of any intoxicating substances, apart from the thrill of being on stage, and was showed remorse for his thoughtless action.

The following is an excerpt of a lengthy apology he posted to Facebook:

"...My tour manager Nils and I stayed at the hospital for 6 hours til [sic] the visiting period ended, and all I know about the man's condition at this point is that he has no breaks and the injury seems to be muscular/ bruising. I'll be going back in the morning to try to apologize, but I wouldn't blame the guy if he spits in my face. The jump was not awesome, it was not badass, and it was not ballsy. It turned what should have been a great day for the people who got hurt into a nightmare. It was stupid and wildly irresponsible, plain and simple."

Watsky also confirmed he will finish up the last six shows on the tour and promised not to jump off anything.

--------------------------------------------------------

TomoNews is your daily source for top animated news.
