Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - What else can be done to stay in an apartment? - I moved into an apartment that had a high cost of rent but was closer to the job at the time . Since I've moved in, overtime at the old job was cut as well as other issues. Eventually, I lost the old job and now I have a new job. As a result, I am two months behind in rent as a result to the loss of the old job. All savings and things of value have been depleted and sold to survive during that time. It will take at least a month and a half if not two months to get back to full strength to deal with the debts. Bankruptcy is not an option. I've tried to talk to the leasing company to try to work out other arrangements, they are not willing to discuss it. I've even offered at least half of what is owed now, they want all or nothing. Nothing legal has happened in regards to eviction or even notice to that effect yet. In two months, I can get the money, but they are not willing to wait that long. Family or friends cannot help.

My questions are one: Is there anything else that can be done to prevent eviction? Two: Since nothing legal has happened yet, should I start to look for a place now while I still can? I don't want to be evicted and lose this place but feel that I've done all I can do. -
