Seventy-eight-year-old Sanna Biddau has her neighbour to thank for helping her escape her flooded home in the cyclone-battered town of Olbia, Sardinia.<br /><br />Biddau said: “She took me in her arms, putting herself at risk of falling into the water. I was scared about that. I don’t know if I was heavy or light for her. We went to the gate and then she went back to save my daughter.<br /><br />Her saviour, Martina Feick, 31, even returned to rescue the beloved family dog.<br /><br />Feick, who hails from Germany, said she was shocked by all the attention she was getting, saying: “I wouldn’t say that I am a heroine, I’d say I just helped somebody. I would always do it again.”
