Since i was 5 i wanted to follow in my fathers footsteps and become a police officer. I've talked to him about how the hiring situation is in nassau county ny(where he's a lt) and he said with the economy and the county declaring bankruptcy the hiring for the next few years will be horrible. I'm going for my bachelors so i have a few years but what is it like in your department or department your looking at?
