The number of bodies discovered in mass graves in western Mexico has risen to 42. Five more corpses were exhumed over the weekend from the site.<br /><br />The bodies have not yet been identified but they are believed to be victims of feuds between drug cartels, and those who got in the way of their dealings.<br /><br />Only weeks ago, police officers confessed they had helped cartel members with their business, and directed state investigators to the site of several mass graves.<br /><br />Al Jazeera reports.
