My brother is jobless and full of debt. I have a job (part-time, but it's work) and filed bankruptcy earlier this year, in part thanks to him. I want to start saving some mad cash to keep in my room thats leftover from what I don't use during the pay period for lunches/sodas at work and for occassional minor emergencies. I got a checking acct, but I like cash, always have (go figure). <br /> <br />Here's the issue though. My brother and sister (has her own place) are both untrustworthy people. I love them, but I don't trust them. They tend to borrow things without asking, go into rooms they have no business being in and going through things that aren't theirs, both have major debt issues (one a shopper, other is a gambler). Both are manipulative and are always out to beg, borrow or steal for a quick buck that doesn't belong to them. They don't pay back family debts, and their personal finances are always in disrepair. Even going through bankruptcy, they still tried to borrow and manipulate money out of me. As I said before, I love them (although I'm not exactly sure why at this point), but still, I don't trust them. They've cost me a lot over the years and are part of the reason why I am where I am in my life. I'm at the point where I'm ready to start rebuilding myself again but this time, I want to hide everything from them. And living with one of them makes it near impossible with things like bank statements coming in the mail. I don't have much anymore, but what I got, I want to keep. So I figure an all cash system might be easier this time around to keep prying eyes out. <br /> <br />So anyhow, yeah, They are who I NEED to hide this money from. I don't want them to know that I might even have a nickle to my name (although that seems to be what I'm worth nowadays), otherwise they'll try to find a way to get it out of me. I know them, they just will. (Kind of sad isn't it, fearing having any amount of money to your name simply because you're afraid family might steal or manipulate it out of you.) <br /> <br />Anyhow, I need to know how to do this? It's needs to be accessible, but out of plain view. It needs to be hidden somehow but must be able to be gotten to quickly and quietly without a lot of fuss. My folks are selling the house in a year or two to move out of state, so I can't put any holes in the wall. And I don't want a safe because then I'm afraid they might start to get snoopy. <br /> <br />Any ideas? -
