Way down yonder - Dutch Swing ollege 1990 <br /><br />Dutch Swing College Band at the 1990 Bern Jazz Festival. <br />Peter Schilperoort, the tall saxophonist in this clip was the leader of this band since 1945. <br />Peter wasn't feeling well and had already handed over the leadership of the band to reedplayer Bob Kaper. Peter died in November of that year. <br />Personally I believe that this last band with Peter was the best musical combination in it's famous history. The band's signature tune "Way down yonder in New Orleans"
