Aarti Dnyanraja is a Marathi Devotional Song, sung by the devotees in praise of Sant Dnyaneshwar (also known as Sant Gyaneshwar) <br />Sant Dnyandev was a saint-poet in Maharashtra. He was a yogi and he composed the first commentary of the Bhagwad Geeta in Marathi, in order to explain its sacred verses to the masses. His writings were a combination of scholarly intelligence and poetic beauty which include a number of Marathi devotional songs. <br />Aarti - A Hindu religious ritual of worship, refers to the songs sung in praise of the deity when lamps are being offered.
