Recently a homeless man was charged after allegedly pushing an elderly man onto subway tracks in Manhattan.<br /><br />The 72-year-old victim had reportedly been innocently standing with his wife waiting for the A train when he was attacked by 57-year-old Rudralall Baldao. Thankfully the elderly man survived and narrowly missed being struck by a train, as several commuters jumped down onto the platform to save and pull him up after the shoving. <br /><br />The police were immediately called to the scene and the victim’s wife was the one who pointed out Baldao and named him as the assailant. The unidentified elderly man encountered a broken collarbone and a fractured skull as a result of the attack.<br /><br />He was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and is currently listed in serious condition. While a motive has not yet been found, law enforcement claimed Baldao may have been intoxicated while he approached the man from behind and pushed him. <br /><br />Baldao was charged with felony assault and attempted murder. Police are asking witnesses to the incident or anyone with additional information to contact crime stoppers.
