The Chicago Slim Blues Band performing at Triton College near Chicago in 1981.<br /><br />This band never got much respect, but I liked them. They reminded me of Hound Dog Taylor & The Houserockers, not so much in the music, but in the attitude - high energy, fun, and not too "careful" about how they played the music, which is as it should be IMO.<br /><br />The band is:<br />Chicago Slim - vocals, harmonica<br />Bumblebee Bob Novak - guitar<br />Tom Mitz - bass<br />Cadillac Sam Burton - drums<br /><br />Cadillac Sam played in the Muddy Waters Junior Band in the late '50s and early '60s; at the time he was known as "Savage Boy"!
