Gregory Alan Isakov is a rare gem indeed. The first time I heard him play live it was on top of a snowy mountain above Boulder Colorado, where he lives. His music is all at once captivating, raw and heartbreakingly beautiful. I'd say my favorite artist since starting the show in 2004 (and that's saying a LOT!). SInce this interview he's toured opening for Ani DiFranco, Brandi Carlile and many other great artists.
