Sinabung volcano continued to spew large amounts of ash into the sky on Thursday.<br/> <br />The Indonesian government raised the volcano's status on November 24 after observing increased activity. It had not been active for four centuries.<br/> <br />High volcanic activity is triggering earthquakes and tremors that produce a near continuous stream of ash from the crater.<br/> <br />More than 17,000 people evacuated following the initial eruption and are still at 31 temporary shelters in a nearby town, according to officials.
