South Africans mourn the passing of Nelson Mandela

Residents of Soweto, the former home of Nelson Mandela, honored the anti-apartheid hero with bursts of dance and song.<br /> <br />(SOUNDBITE) BOIKANYO TLADI, SOWETO RESIDENT, SAYING:<br /> <br />"This is a moment for South Africans to celebrate the life of a legend you know."<br /> <br />Others released white doves near the house of the late president and hundreds more paid respects with flowers, candles and prayer.<br /> <br />(SOUNDBITE) DEBBIE ROUSSOU, JOHANNESBURG RESIDENT SAYING:<br /> <br />"I think he was a great icon.
