Samsung Electronics and Philips have announced that they were among the companies been raided by the EU on suspicion of breaking competition rules. <br /><br />Both firms said they were cooperating with inspectors.<br /><br />The European Commission (EC) visited the offices of several companies selling consumer electronics and domestic appliances on Thursday, December 5.<br /><br />The EC is concerned that the firms may have violated antitrust rules – and may have been colluding to limit the online sale of certain goods in order to drive up prices.
