We have all been there.<br /><br />You are settling into your seat getting ready for take off when an air hostess taps you on the shoulder and tells you to turn your music off.<br /><br />Well, that annoying pre-flight ritual could become history.<br /><br />The European Commission on Monday confirmed that portable electronic devices may now also be used in ‘flight mode’ throughout the whole flight, from gate to gate. <br /><br />Previously these had to be turned off completely during takeoff and landing.<br /><br />But the final decision will remain with airlines and pilots.
