The EU has hosted the latest in a series of talks between Hashim Thaçi, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, and Serbia’s Prime Minister Ivica Dačić.<br /><br />The meeting is believed to be an important one for Serbia, which is eager to start official talks on EU membership.<br /><br />Kosovo declared independence in 2008. The fragile relationship between the two countries has started to improve since an EU-brokered deal agreed in April.<br /><br />As a result of those negotiations, Serbia was offered EU accession talks, which are expected to begin early next year.
