Nelson Mandela’s body has been taken from the Union Buildings in Pretoria for the final time.<br /><br />The coffin will be driven to an air base for a farewell ceremony for ANC members. <br /><br />From there the former President of South Africa’s body will be flown to his ancestral home in Qunu, where his state funeral will be held on Sunday.<br /><br />Madiba’s body lay in state in South Africa’s capital for three days, with at least 100,000 people visiting to pay their last respects.<br /><br />Sunday’s funeral ceremony will end a week of commemorations.<br /><br />People throughout South Africa have organised their own personal tributes. A church situated in the village where Mandela was born dedicated a special sermon to him.<br /><br />His life has not only been celebrated in South Africa. France lit up the Eiffel Tower in its own special dedication to the Father of South Africa.
