Heavy snow has been falling on the Syrian capital, Damascus, since Thursday and has blanketed the city’s streets. <br /><br />Winter storm “Alexa” is responsible for the freezing temperatures across Syria and neighbouring countries. <br /><br />Despite the conditions, some residents took time out to enjoy the snow.<br /><br />One Damascus student said that she is “very happy because the snow has brought some happiness that hasn’t been seen in Syria for a long time”.
