ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle observed a moment of silence on Saturday (October 14) to honor the victims of the at Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.<br/> <br />They lit candles White House map room on the one-year anniversary of the shootings in Newtown, Connecticut that took the lives of 20 first graders and six adults.<br/> <br />The Obamas lit 26, one for each victim.<br/> <br />Earlier, the President marked the anniversary by calling for tighter gun control and expanded mental health care in his weekly address.
