And for the residents of Newtown, the emotions are far greater.<br/> <br />One year ago today, a gunman opened fire in Sandy Hook Elementary School - killing 20 children and six adults.<br/> <br />Bells rang in Newtown to honor those killed... as residents quietly marked the anniversary, requesting media to keep their distance.<br/> <br />For many, time has done little to ease the loss.
