A bus has plunged off an elevated motorway into the street below in central Manila, killing at least 22 people when it landed on its roof.<br /><br /> One eyewitness said the bus had been speeding in poor weather.<br /><br /> The crash caused traffic chaos in the city of 11.5 million people. At least another 20 people were injured, and rushed to hospital.<br /><br /> The Philippines is notorious for its poor traffic safety record and huge traffic jams in its crowded cities. In 2011 nearly 1,900 people were killed in some 85,000 accidents.
