At least 14 people have been killed and 150 wounded in a huge explosion at a security building in the northern Egyptian town of Mansoura.<br /><br />The cause of the blast is unconfirmed but several reports say it was a car bomb attack.<br /><br />The force of the explosion led to a partial collapse of the building which may have accounted for the high number of injuries.<br /><br />The head of the local security directorate is said to among the wounded.<br /><br />Egypt’s interim Prime Minister Hazem al Beblawi has called it a terrorist incident and said the perpetrators will not go unpunished.<br /><br />Attacks on soldiers and policemen have sharply risen in Egypt since the army ousted elected Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in July.<br /><br />No one has claimed responsibility but, within hours of the explosion, Beblawi announced that the Muslim Brotherhood would now be considered a terrorist organisation.
