Bangladesh has among the highest rates of maternal mortality in the world.<br /><br />One in 500 women die during pregnancy or child birth, and in some areas that number is doubled.<br /><br />Most of the deaths are preventable, but even the most basic resources are often scarce, with three out of four women giving birth at home.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Shamim Chowdhury reports from Habiganj.
