Two others were found in a separate town square.<br/> <br />Violence has been increasing in Michoacan. In 2013, the murder rate rose, and, by comparison to declines most states, has almost doubled since 2006.<br/> <br />In recent years, masked groups of vigilantes have taken matters into their own hands in rural communities, claiming the government hasn't done enough to stop gang violence.<br/> <br />Murders peaked nationwide in 2011 during a military-led a war against drug cartels.
