ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />Mexican authorities said they were analyzing options on how to reconnect a scenic highway in northwestern Mexico after it dramatically collapsed over the weekend, trapping one truck driver who was able to walk away uninjured.<br/> <br />The road connecting Ensenada and Tijuana collapsed on Saturday near Salsipuedes around 2:00 am local time.<br/> <br />Aerial views show the extent of the damage. According to local media, the highway sunk about 30 meters along a 200 meter-long stretch of road.<br/> <br />The highway remains closed and Ensenada Mayor Gilberto Hirata said officials were urgently analyzing different options to reconnect the road.<br/> <br />Authorities are keen to re-open the highway as such a closure would negatively impact the local economy.
