Musharraf supporters offer flowers, prayers at hospital

Dozens of supporters prayed outside a hospital in the garrison city of Rawalpindi on Thursday (January 2) for former Pakistani military ruler Pervez Musharraf, who was taken there a day earlier after reporting chest pains.<br/> <br />The former president felt the pain while on his way to face treason charges in a special court in the capital, Islamabad.<br/> <br />A spokeswoman for Musharraf said he had been taken to a military hospital in the city of Rawalpindi, near Islamabad.<br/> <br />The supporters held bouquets and cards to wish Musharraf well. With raised hands they prayed for his quick recovery. They chanted slogans praising Musharraf.<br/> <br />Security was tight around hospital and no one was allowed to enter.
