The Chinese icebreaker that attempted to free a trapped Russian research vessel off Antarctica has also become stranded. <br /><br />Seventy-four people were on board the Russian ship, most were airlifted to an Australian vessel. <br /><br />The Chinese crew have reported that they are not in any danger and have food supplies for several weeks.
