Dramatic amateur footage has emerged of the moment when rough seas took their toll on a cliff-face in Hastings on Britain’s southern shores.<br /><br />After days of extremely wet and windy weather, the spectacular collapse of part of the East Sussex coast was captured on a mobile phone by local resident, Kevin Ice.<br /><br />Many parts of Britain are braced for more storms and damage this weekend with severe weather alerts in place. Thousands of households remain flooded as a result of heavy downpours over the Christmas holidays.<br /><br />Ireland too has been severely affected with the estimated cost of damage expected to run into millions of euros.<br /><br />Counties Cork, Clare, Galway and Kerry are among the worst hit areas.
