January 4, 2014 <br /> <br />The 501st Legion and the Rebel Legion invaded Star Wars night at the Colorado Mammoth lacrosse game at the Pepsi Center in Downtown Denver. <br /> <br />Besides creating the usual smiles, taking photos and geeking out, the troopers met a very special young girl. <br /> <br />She has a sensory perception disorder and had challenges with the troopers when they had their helmets, or their "buckets" on. <br /> <br />While we rarely take our buckets off in public, we made an exception for this young lady. <br /> <br />Once she could see that they were real people, she warmed up and fell in love with our troopers and Lord Vader. <br /> <br />We weren't sure if she was going to leave TK-52801 alone for the rest of the night. <br /> <br /> <br />This is why we troop. <br /> <br /> <br />This is also why we like to wear our buckets... so no one can see us crying. <br /> <br />It was an amazing night, one that will long remembered....
