Awards season is kicking off and Hollywood's glitterati were out in full force on Sunday.<br/> <br />The 25th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival honoured some of acting's biggest stars.<br/> <br />Tom Hanks was given the Chairman's Award for his role in "Captain Phillips.", and offered a typically astute insight into awards season.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Actor, Tom Hanks, saying (English):<br/> <br />"To be invited to the Palm Spring International Film Festival is an honor and a delight beyond words and sometimes beyond reasoning.
