A court sentences the American-born woman known as "Jihad Jane" to 10 years in prison.<br/> <br />Colleen R. LaRose pleaded guilty in 2009 for a failed al Qaeda-linked plot to kill a Swedish artist who had depicted the head of the Muslim Prophet Mohammad on a dog.<br/> <br />LaRose traveled then to Europe in a plot to shoot the artist in the chest.<br/> <br />She gave up the plot after six weeks and returned to Philadelphia where she was arrested.<br/> <br />LaRose could have received a life sentence.<br/> <br />Prosecutors say she has given authorities significant help in other terrorism cases since her arrest.
