Contamination hits US state's water supply

More than 100,000 residents in West Virginia have been told not to use their tap water after a chemical leak contaminated the US state's water supply.<br /><br />The chemical, 4 methylcyclohaxane methanol, which is used in the coal industry, entered the water supply through a local river. It can cause skin and eye irritation as well as headaches but is not extremely hazardous.<br /><br />Nevertheless, hospitals are dealing with worried people and the FBI is conducting an investigation into the spill.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Alan Fisher reports.
