Tourists making their way to the Machu Picchu ruins in Peru are blocked by a a rock slide, caused by heavy rains.<br/> <br />Workers struggled to break apart a massive rock that was seven metres wide and five metres tall.<br/> <br />Some tourists were forced to walk the remaining two kilometres up the mountaintop citadel, which lies about 2,400 meters above sea level.<br/> <br />The site itself was not damaged by the rock slide.<br/> <br />The 15th century Inca ruins of Machu Picchu attract about 1 million people every year.
