That cool band was a project of some members from Dream Theater. They used to play a really progressive, technical and experimental music. <br />So, today´s guitar riff lick is a heavy metal or even thrash metal line with open strings. Notice that it requiers a 7 string guitar. So I recommend you to try it very slow at first and then starting to add some speed gradually with a metronome... <br />Ok, hope this helps and don´t forget to come up with your own ideas, which is the best advice for starting to find `your´ unique sound and style.
