A car bomb is reported to have exploded in the Lebanese town of Hermel near to offices of the Shia militant group, Hezbollah.<br /><br />According to reports from local media at least three people have been killed and several wounded in the blast. <br /><br />Hermel is in the north of Lebanon, right on the Syrian border.<br /><br />Lebanon has suffered a spate of bombings in recent weeks. In the last, a fortnight ago, a car bomb killed five people and injured 60 when it smashed the front off a block of flats in a southern suburb of Beirut. <br /><br />The attacks appear to be targeting Hezbollah, in retaliation for its heavy involvement, fighting alongside government forces, in neighbouring Syria.
