A Taliban suicide bomber kills 10 people in a market in Rawalpindi, near the headquarters of the Pakistani army.<br/> <br />The army camp is supposedly one of the most secure areas in the city.<br/> <br />A witness, Mohammed Fahad, said they were asleep when the blast happened, and they saw bodies lying on the ground and blood everywhere.<br/> <br />Some people from their neighbourhood were among those injured, he said.<br/> <br />Police diverted people from the area in case a second blast took place.<br/> <br />A Taliban spokesman claimed responsibility for the bombing.<br/> <br />It follows an attack that killed 20 Pakistani troops on Sunday (January 19).<br/> <br />The Pakistani government is keen to pursue talks with the Taliban but the number of attacks has spiked since Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif came to power last year.
