We go through school and we are told that we should aspire to go to university. <br />Well at least I was anyway. <br /> <br />All that time and energy and resources spent looking at university league tablesand visiting various places. <br />Then spending 3 years doing a media degree, a course which I didn't really <br />want to do but couldn't find anything else that interested me. <br /> <br />All because I lived under the belief that I had to go to university, to get a good <br />job, build my career and have a decent life. <br /> <br />10 years later, my perspective on University and that whole way of thinking has completely <br />changed. <br /> <br />I recently had a reunion with a group of about 25 of my university friends (one of the good things that came out of university). I asked all of them who was actually doing <br />anything related to their university course. <br /> <br />Everybody laughed at me! <br /> <br />That is crazy! <br /> <br />Out of those 25+ people, only 1 person was actually doing what she studied to do. <br /> <br />Most of the others were in jobs they don't particularly enjoy and most of them <br />are just struggling to get by financially. <br /> <br />It made me wonder, what on earth did we all go to university for? <br /> <br />Now I am self-employed doing what I love, and making money online. <br /> <br />My university had nothing to do with this! <br /> <br />However, I still believe very much in education, but the right education. <br /> <br />Education that actually enables you to make money (a lot of it) and live <br />the lifestyle you actually want to live. <br /> <br />I belong to an online company called Internet Lifestyle Network (ILN), where they <br />help people to do just that.
