Mexico is trying to stop the execution of one of its citizens on death row in the United States.<br /><br />Edgar Tamayo was convicted of killing a police officer in 1994 while in the US illegally.<br /><br />Mexican officials say he wasn't given access to consular assistance, in breach of international law.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Adam Raney reports from Tamayo’s home state of Morelos.
