The big apple is digging out of a big storm that brought a record-breaking 11 inches of snow to the heart of the city.<br /> <br />(SOUNDBITE) UNIDENTIFIED NEW YORKER, SAYING:<br /> <br />"I think it's really beautiful. I don't know. I mean, it's cold, but I think it's really beautiful."<br /> <br />With a morning temperature of just 4 degrees Fahrenheit - joggers were joined by skiers on Central park trails. And even though 30 mile per hour winds blew - plenty of others ventured outside.<br /> <br />(SOUNDBITE) UNIDENTIFIED NEW YORKER SAYING:<br /> <br />"I have to walk my dog. The show must go on and it's cold."<br /> <br />City workers were out in full force - clearing streets and sidewalks to help other New Yorkers get to their jobs.<br /> <br />(SOUNDBITE) UNIDENTIFIED NEW JERSEY RESIDENT, SAYING:<br /> <br />"I'm going to work right there and I'm freezing cold and I don't like it."<br /> <br />But some of the city's littlest residents seemed pretty thrilled.<br /> <br />BOYS SCREAMING "SNOW DAY"<br /> <br />And their joy was contagious.
