Israel has arrested two Palestinians from East Jerusalem whom they claim were al Qaeda members. <br /><br />The two were allegedly aiming to attack the US Embassy with the help of foreign suicide bombers posing as Russian tourists.<br /><br />They were apparently recruited by an agent in Gaza. Hamas has denied the allegations.<br /><br />Israel ‘s Shin Bet intelligence agency says it is the second report suggesting the militant network is taking root among normally unsupportive Palestinians.
