After three years of war and more than 100,000 deaths, Syria's government and representatives from the opposition are set to begin talks.<br /><br />United Nations mediator Lakhdar Brahimi is overseeing the negotiations in Geneva and will speak to both sides separately first.<br /><br />It is not clear if both sides will agree to meet for direct talks. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's James Bays reports live from Geneva.
