An al-Qaeda-inspired militant group Ansar Beit al-Maqdis claims that it has carried out a deadly bomb attack on police headquarters in Cairo.<br /><br />The Muslim Brotherhood condemned the attack saying they wanted a “peaceful revolution”.<br /><br />Cairo residents working near the city’s police headquarters have been reacting to what happened.<br /><br />One man who worked next door said: “We didn’t realise what had gone on, the metal doors of our shops were blown out, the windows, the glass… everything was destroyed, I wonder what on earth happened to the policemen who were at the scene.”<br /><br />Another elderly man sobbed, “There is too much evil in the world and not enough good.”<br /><br />The explosion killed four people, including three policemen, and injured dozens more. The interior Ministry said the attack happened early on Friday morning when a suicide car bomber blew broke through concrete barriers.<br /><br />Nearby shops and buildings were badly damaged.<br /><br />There was a second bomb attack a few hours later close to a metro station, killing one person and injuring more than a dozen.<br /><br />A third exploded happened near a police station in Giza on the outskirts of Cairo with no reported casualties.<br /><br />Supporters of the army, who ousted President Morsi in the summer, staged a demonstration on Friday afternoon outside the bombed police headquarters.
